This is exactly how I was feeling yesterday. Thanks for naming it and giving me permission to take time out. My overload is a by-product of trying to make Substack work for me and feeling overwhelmed by the tsunami of advice, guides and products that don’t seem to quite fit what I am trying to achieve. Might need to book that session :)
No problem, Anna! I’m glad this is helpful for you. Always welcome to book a session with me - even if you want a 15 min free one to chat more about how it works! Just let me know. :)
Thanks George and also a big thanks for the work you do to keep writers informed of the opportunities out there. Just to let you know that this link doesn't appear to work in this morning's list 'Amy is looking for an experienced copywriter to develop compelling case studies'.
It's interesting how clearly you describe the specific guilt tied to burnout when there are external resposibilities. As a teacher, I totally get that feeling of your "processing power" just running out. It's a crucial reminder that even the most optimized human systems need a proper reset, and that’s perfectly valid.
I appreciate the encouragement to take a break from so much productivity. it's really important.
No problem Marisa, glad it’s helpful!
